Bath Salts

Basic Bath Salts

Editor's Note:  Enhance the moisturizing aspect of the glycerin by using Roman Chamomile, Geranium, Rosewood, or Palmarosa essential oils.  After bathing, follow up with a body oil or lotion.

Basic Bath Salts


1 cup Sea Salt
1 cup Epsom salts
¼ cup Glycerin
30 total drops of essential oils


Combine salts and glycerin then add essential oils. Let stand for 15 minutes. Store in a tightly sealed container. Will keep for a year.

Add ½ cup to running water as you fill the bath.

Relaxing essential oils: Lavender, Lemon, Chamomile, and Bergamot*


Simulating essential oils: Spearmint, Rosemary, and Eucalyptus

*Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for at least 24 hours after using Bergamot on the skin.
